Rolling Drum Shot Blasting Machine

Xinke Drum Shot Blasting Machine is a widely used surface treatment device designed for cleaning, deburring, or finishing metal parts. Rolling drum shot blasting machine cylinder made of cast iron, the internal bolts with a protective plate, the plate has a grid hole and the spiral of the guide ribs, in order to turn the workpiece in the work. There is also a spiral belt for recovering the abrasive between the guard and the drum shell. The whole roller system is supported on two pairs of reels of the frame, and the roller is driven at low speed by the reducer motor driven by chain and sprocket. As the drum speed is low, the casting of the bruises, edges, and corners of the wear are less occur, and because of the role of the abrasive reflection, to clean up the more complex shape of the castings and forgings. The end cover is located at one end of the drum, so the loading and unloading are convenient, and it is convenient to replace the guard and maintenance work.

The machine works by placing parts on a rotating tumble belt, which moves the parts through a blast chamber where they are subjected to high-velocity abrasive media (shot blasting).  The abrasive stream effectively removes contaminants such as rust, scale, or old coatings from the surface, providing a clean and prepared surface for further processes like painting or coating.

The rolling drum machine is suitable for rust removal, descaling and surface strengthening of small castings, forgings, stampings, gears, springs and other parts in machine tools, automobiles, textile machinery, metallurgy, chemical industry, and aerospace industries.It is especially suitable for parts cleaning and strengthening without fear of collision.

It is uniformly clean and highly productive, so it is suitable for cleaning small pieces of work weighing less than 15kg in medium or small-scale foundry or forging workshops.

The high-speed turbine throws abrasive onto the continuous tumbling castings or forgings in the bucket to remove the green sand or scales from the surface.

Machines’ housing is protected by wear-resistant manganese steel liners.

The whole machine is controlled by a PLC with a high degree of automation. It can work as a single machine or connected to production line.

This machine operates through a combination of mechanical movements and abrasive blasting to clean or finish metal parts. As the barrel rotates and tilts, every surface of the parts gets exposed to the blasting media, effectively cleaning them or altering their surface properties.

After the blasting process is complete, the barrel is stopped and returned to its original position. The parts are then unloaded, often through an automatic unloading door or mechanism.
